Under the general guidance of the Recreation Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for the coordination, preparation and supervision of our Gym for Me program. This program provides kids a place to run, ride and play while making new friends. Play items are available, including push toys, riding toys, balls and inflatables. Adult supervision is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides customer service, direct leadership, and general supervision of Gym for Me.
• Assists in clean up and adjusts equipment in multiple gym spaces.
• Provides for a clean, safe, and secure environment through monitoring of participants, general cleaning, and enforcing policies within the space.
• Completes and maintains proper forms, reports and general information for staff, including incident reports, attendance reports, etc.
• Enforces facility, equipment, and program rules and regulations, taking appropriate corrective action with participants when necessary.
• Administers First-Aid and CPR, if necessary.
• Must be able to work a combination of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.

Additional Examples of Work Performed

• Monitors and assists in maintaining cleanliness throughout the facilities.

Qualifications

Minimum: Must be 16 or older and have previous experience in at least one of the following program areas: childcare, general youth programming, arts and crafts, or sports and athletics; Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification within 60 days of being hired.

Desired: CPR/First Aid/AED certified, one year of customer service experience, and experience with multiple sports and or child watch experience.

Starting rate of pay is $15.50 per hour. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screen. Completion of a background check is required, if over the age of 18.
